Xiaomi’s new budget phone champs are here!
Aside from the Redmi Note 8 series and their killer prices, Xiaomi makes another surprise as it announced that the more affordable Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A will be available in the Philippines starting today.
The Redmi 8A will be available in the 2GB/32GB variant, while the Redmi 8 will be available in 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB variants.
Both phones are near-identical with key specs that include a 5000mAh battery, Snapdragon 439 processor, 6.22-inch HD+ display, USB-C, and 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 rear camera. The Redmi 8 adds a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Redmi 8a is priced at Php 5,490 while the Redmi 8 is priced at Php 6,490 for the 3GB/32GB variant and Php 6,990 for the 4GB/64GB variant.
