Packaging and Hardware

Nice box!

You definitely have to give credit to Lenovo for the packaging of the S800. This is probably the “best boxed” feature phone you’ll ever find in the market. It comes in a big black box with a steel clip holding the box closed. To open just slip out the metal clip and flip the box open.

Opening the box reveals the Lenovo S800, the manual, and the black leather magnetic case. The phone itself will immediately grab your attention because of the unique design. The chrome framed transparent display and the sleek alpha numeric keypad makes for a very fashionable and stylish gadget that’s guaranteed to be a conversation starter.

Due to the amount of glass in this phone it has a bit of heft, weighing in at 124 grams. It still manages to keep a slim candybar form factor though.

Here are a couple of more photos of the S800:

What else is in the box?

The box of the Lenovo S800 also has a bunch of extra goodies. There’s a back cover, a black leather case with a magnetic latch, a display cleaner, earphones, and the charger.

What can the phone do?

Primarily it can text and call. There are other features like internet browsing and games but it’s not really a smooth experience, hehe. If you’re getting this phone is for the novel look and feel.

The Lenovo S800 sells for around Php6,500. It used to be priced in the Php8,000-Php9,000 range but it already got a price cut.
