Unisoc Mentions Upcoming Lenovo A7 in a Post

A new budget phone from Lenovo?

While Qualcomm and MediaTek are two brands that come into mind when it comes to processors, Unisoc (formerly known as Spreadtrum) also makes SoCs. The Chinese brand is focused more on budget phones, and it revealed in a Twitter post about an upcoming phone from Lenovo

Called the A7, the budget phone is powered by Unisoc’s SC9863A processor—a 28nm processor that uses 8 Cortex-A55 cores and a PowerVR IMG8322 GPU and AI smarts. It has a compact 6.09-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch, a dual rear camera setup, and a removable 4000mAh battery—a rarity these days. The A7 was spotted in a Google Play Console listing, confirming that it comes with 2GB RAM and Android Pie out of the box.

There’s no word yet on the pricing and availability of the A7.
