Is this the new look of ASUS’ new Zenfones?

Despite a majority of its competitors releasing their flagship offerings for 2016, Taiwanese company ASUS has been largely silent the past few months. But after their relative silence during CES and MWC, ASUS is apparently gearing up for the announcement of their Zenfone 3 in the next few months, quite possibly during COMPUTEX in Taiwan.

It’s not surprising then that official-looking press renders of the upcoming Zenfone 3 as well as the Zenfone 3 Deluxe has leaked on the ‘net, giving us the first glimpse of what the series has in store for us. If the leaked renders are to be believed, the Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Deluxe will ship with an aluminum body, and a 2.5D glass on both the back and front of the handset. There’s also a possibility of the phones coming with a fingerprint scanner embedded on the rear volume rocker.

As far as specs go, there’s also big rumors that the phones will have Snapdragon 650 SoC under the hood, as well as 3GB of RAM. It’s a downgrade from the 4GB that was on the original model, so like anything, take this rumor with a grain of salt until the new phones are revealed later this June.

  1. I’ve been saying Asus zenfones are oversize with long chin, fat with thick bezels. Features more in tune with the early smartphone. These new style forms are pretty good. It took a lot of time for Asus but it’s now comparable with the competition.

    1. have to agree with that, however that “chin” is what made them stand out visually. with this design they now look like some oppo phone.
