Please, don’t emulate this idiocy, folks. Air travel is hassle enough on its own, and a having a delayed flight makes it immensely worse than ever.

A douchebag passenger aboard a Virgin America flight out of San Francisco scared the pants off everyone in the plane with his “cleverly-named” WiFi hotspot “Galaxy Note 7_1097.” Genius? Maybe. Douche move? Definitely.

Yeah, airline companies aren’t kidding when it comes to the dreaded, banned Galaxy Note 7. Bringing it aboard a plane is a federal crime according to the US Federal Aviation Administration.

The troll’s shenanigans nearly resulted in the plane being grounded while the captain and the crew searched for the offending user and the phone. The captain warned everyone in the flight that they would need to be diverted to a different airport for an emergency search if the phone troll didn’t admit his idiocy. Fortunately, the moron responsible fessed up and explained his prank.
