A major upgrade is on the way
After vivo announced that it is one of the brands participating in the Android Pie Beta, Program, the brand has opened the Beta program to the public—at least in China. Participating models include the X21, X21 UD, NEX A, and NEX S. This means that vivo will be rolling out the final build sometime 1st Quarter of 2019.
Aside from Android Pie, the update includes FunTouch OS 4.5, which brings a new UI look and updates to Jovi Wisdom Scene, Jovi Smart Assistant, Jovi Wisdom Map. The update also brings optimizations to the camera, game mode, and many more.
The Beta program will run in two batches: the first batch will be from December 24 to January 2, while the second batch will be from January 2 to 6. To participate, you have to download the APK from the forum thread and register.
