Vivo Philippines is full of surprises. Aside from announcing the 20-megapixel front camera toting V5, the company also announced a bigger version of the device, the V5 Plus. Apart from being slightly bigger than the V5, the new phone is expected to be released with a dual selfie camera, with one being 20-megapixels just like the V5.
Details are light on the V5 Plus, but it may just be patterned after Vivo’s X9 Plus that was released in China a few weeks ago, just like the V5 was based off of the X9.
If that’s the case, then you’re looking at a dual-selfie camera setup that would work much like the Vibe S1, with the second camera providing depth information for convincing-looking bokehs.
As for the rest of the phone, you can expect a full metal body much like the V5 and a bigger display. Expect a MediaTek processor with the V5 Plus, just like the V5. The V5 Plus is expected to be launched next month.
