vivo to Bring the Y20i to the Philippines

After it was announced in India three weeks ago, vivo is set to make the Y20i available in the Philippines. Walastech spotted several listings of the said phone in Facebook, with an SRP of Php 7,490. The alleged price in the Philippines matches that of its price in India.

While the box clearly states that it is a Y20i, several reports indicate that the variant coming to the Philippines comes with 4GB RAM—which means that we are getting the India Y20 instead.

Key features of the Y20 is a Snapdragon 460 processor—a spiritual successor of the 3-year-old Snapdragon 450 that shares a lot in common with the more-known Snapdragon 665 used in some mid-range phones despite having a lower 1.8Ghz clock speed.

Other noteworthy features of the Y20i include a 5000mAh battery with 18w USB-C charging, 6.51-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch for the 8-megapixel selfie snapper, and a triple rear camera setup (13-megapixel f/1.8 main camera, 2-megapixel macro camera, and 2-megapixel depth sensor) houses in a rectangle-shaped module.

The Y20i’s rumored Php 7,490 price tag means that it will go against the likes of the Helio G80-powered Redmi 9 and the phablet-sized Note 7. We should know more about the Y20i once it goes official on September 26.
