Watch: ASUS ZenPower VS. Xiaomi Mi Powerbank

ZenPower Mi Powerbank

Which one is better?

A lot of people are interested in ASUS’ newest accessory, the ZenPower bank. We’re not surprised – priced at Php 790, it’s easily one of the most affordable powerbanks out in the market from a reputable international brand. It’s also pretty close to the price of the Xiaomi’s Mi Powerbank, so we decided to unbox it and pit it against Xiaomi’s offering in our latest unboxing video!

To be honest both have strengths and weaknesses, however we feel availability will be the key factor here – one that the ZenPower has over the Xiaomi Mi Powerbank. We explain why in the video linked above, so be sure to click on it and see why we feel that the ZenPower is a much better buy than the Mi Powerbank.

You can check out Carlo’s review of the ZenPower here. While you’re at it, why don’t you check out our video review for the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML here.

  1. @carlo this is again the old xiaomi powerbank.. The newer one will be the same size as the asus with almost the same capacity.. That will be a better comparison than this

  2. will the zenpower be able to charge windows tablets like an acer w4 or an hp stream 7? i’m dead curious

  3. Newer is always better. But remember Mi power bank shocked the market when it was released. Without it prices of high quality power banks will always be out of reach to the masses.
Any idea what cells zenpower is using? Is there any teardown?

  4. I have read somewhere that there will be additional 200PHP on xiaomi products since they will have a physical store and will entail operation cause so online store will also increase in price. can you confirm?

  5. I am already impressed sa peformance ng Mi powerbank 10400mah. Last 2 week my cable broke and caused short circuit while my phone is charge though mi powerbank. I panic and siguro mga 2 minutes pa nakalipas nung maamoy kong amoy sunog at nagspark na pala ung cable bago ko siya matanggal. At first akala ko sira na ung powerbank dahil sa nangyari kasi after ko matanggal ung cable di na nag on ung powerbank but i was impressed kasi ni-try kong icharge sa wall socket ung powerbank and lo and behold, gumana parin siya!, nag auto turn off siya. Dahil siguro sa nagturn off ung powerbank hindi rin naapektuhan ung phone ko. I don’t know, just my two cents.
