As we mentioned in our quick review of the iPhone 8 Plus, the key feature that we’re excited about the most is the newly improved camera. What’s so special about it?
On paper the dual-camera primary shooter set-up of the iPhone 8 Plus has a 12MP (f/1.8) and 12MP (f/2.8). While it might not be outstanding in terms of hardware numbers and specs, the real secret sauce is the software optimization that Apple made to improve the processing of their photos. This change combined with the wider sensors allows the iPhone 8 Plus to deliver consistent and rich images that rival that of an SLR if you have good lighting conditions.
Here are some sample shots taken with the iPhone 8 Plus for toy photography. We had a small product light box and just posed a few toys that we had in display here at home. The results were incredible.
