This rugged phone just won’t quit

Rugged Android smartphones aren’t new, and we’ve seen a number of examples from both local and international brands. Chinese manufacturer No. 1’s rugged smartphone is unique, not just because it has a massive, 6,800mAh battery inside – it’s because it can even run without the aforementioned battery installed.

Yes, as you’ll see in the video below, the X6800 is capable of running even with the 6,800mAh battery taken out of its rugged body. Obviously this isn’t black magic, and thee X6800 probably has a backup battery running inside to keep the lights on. While we don’t know how long this backup battery will allow the phone to run, it’s still a great feature to have, especially for people who require a rugged phone for whatever reason.

As far as specs go, you’re looking at a 5.5-inch HD display, Snadpragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, LTE plus a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. It’s not amazing specs for sure, but obviously a rugged phone won’t have the fastest processor known to man.

Unfortunately no price or availability has been released as of yet for this phone.
