Pricey like Beats!
Entertainer turned aspiring Tech Mogul Will.i.am is back with a new consumer gadget and it looks like this one will finally make him legit. Buttons are fashionable wireless bluetooth headphones that have different colors that match the variants of the iPhone. They have magnetic disks on the outer ear which are supposed to resemble vinyl disks and when not in use you can clamp them together and you can wear them like some sort of necklace.
In terms of tech specs, the Buttons have 11mm drivers built into them which isn’t that bad. It has a rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery which will give users 6 hours of playback and talk time and 120 hours of standby time. The built-in microphone also works well with Siri Activation (if you’re into that) and the cable is made of Nylon.
With the Apple AirPods being delayed, Will.i.am is actually in a position to cash in on the “demand” for wireless earphones with the iPhone dropping the headphone jack. Buttons are set to launch January next year with an SRP for $230 (very Beats like in price, haha).
