Xiaomi tweaks the Redmi 2 to make it better
Xiaomi’s earliest phone announcement this year, the Redmi 2, has only been on sale for a short while but the company has announced that they will be offering an updated version that has slightly more memory and storage compared to the original. The new Redmi 2 model will still retain the name, but will now have double the RAM and storage, 2GB and 16GB respectively.
The new phone will still have all the specs of the original Redmi 2, and will probably be the model that Xiaomi will offer to other markets moving forward when it’s officially announced internationally. No price has been announced for the new model, but you can expect it to be slightly more expensive than the Redmi 2, and considering the price of the previous device, we’re still putting it in the “awesome deal” territory.
