Xiaomi and Meitu’s First Phone Together will have a Flip-Up Camera Module

ASUS’ ZenFone 6 now has company

Following the announcement of a strategic partnership last November 2018, Xiaomi and Meitu are set to announce their first collab phone.

In a poster shared by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, the upcoming Meitu phone, which has a “little fairy” name, sports a flip-up camera module similar to the one used on the ZenFone 6. The upcoming phone has a gradient white and pink color.

Rumored specs include a Snapdragon 730 processor, in-display fingerprint scanner, and a triple camera setup led by a 48-megapixel main camera. The phone is rumored to be called the Mi CC9.

Aside from the Mi CC9, there will be a Mi CC9e in the works as well. Unlike the Mi CC9, this one has a more conventional waterdrop notch display and triple rear camera setup. Speculated specs for the Mi CC9e include a Snapdragon 712 processor, 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, 32-megapixel front camera, and 48-megapixel main rear camera accompanied by wide-angle and telephoto cameras.
