A TV that you’d want to import
Not many people know this but Xiaomi also makes affordable smart TVs in addition to their Android smartphones. And the company has just unveiled their latest model, the Android-powered Mi TV3S, which is coincidentally their first ever curved model.
The new TV sports a 4K, 65-inch curved Samsung display despite being just 5.9mm at its thinnest point. Xiaomi also has a smaller 43-inch model, but that sheds the 4K capability for a smaller, flat display and a lower price.
On the Android part of the TV, the Mi TV 3s sports a quad-core, Mstar 6A928 SoC running at 1.4GHz with 2GB of DDR3 triple-channel RAM, 8GB of storage, a Mal-760 GPU and 4K, 60FPS capability.
The Mi TV 3s is priced at just RMB 8,999 for the 65-inch version, coming out at Php 64K, making it significantly less expensive than other curved TVs in the market. Even better, the 43-inch version is just RMB 1799, or just 12.8K pesos converted! We’ve bought more expensive phones than that!
Obviously Xiaomi’s TVs are not sold outside of China, but there are ways to get this if you want it bad enough. Resellers have managed to get Xiaomi TVs to the PH before though the price put on top will be significantly more compared to a phone.
