Designed with gamers in mind
As we count the days before Xiaomi unveils its first gaming phone, new leaks reveal more about the Black Shark. In this photo, the Black Shark has a rather chunky appearance, with two rear cameras and a LED flash spotted in its back panel.
While this is different from the teaser poster we initially spotted, our guess is that the chunky case houses the game controls, which can be detached when you need to use the Black Shark as a phone. This feature has been confirmed by another teaser poster.
Another thing worth noting is the absence of any Xiaomi branding, even if Black Shark is a Xiaomi-owned company. Instead, you have a stylized S logo in green on the back panel.
With its design, the Black Shark aims to be a strong competitor against the Razer Phone, which boasts of a 120hz display and a 24-bit DAC.
Rumored specs for the Black Shark includes a Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB RAM, a 120hz OLED display, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
