Originally thought to be part of the Mi 5 series as the Mi 5c, Xiaomi’s “Meri” handset has been spotted again in action, along with an online appearance at Geekbench and AnTuTu. The midranger comes with an unidentified octa-core SoC, which has brought about a lot of speculation on forums of a potential in-house chipset from Xiaomi.

The Xiaomi Meri is speculated to be in the pipeline for an official unveiling at the end of the month.
