One of them being a “dual GPS module”
While we wait for May 31 for Xiaomi to unveil the Mi 8, photos of the retail box have surfaced, confirming some of its specs.
From the photos above, the Mi 8 will come in a black box with the number 8 on the front, along with the Mi logo at the top left part of the box. At the back, you have an overview of the Mi 8’s key features, which include a Snapdragon 845 processor, a dual rear camera setup (one of them being a 20-megapixel sensor), and a “dual GPS module”.
Reading through the box further, the Mi 8 comes with a USB-C port and a “USB-C to audio” dongle, confirming speculation that the Mi 8 will not come with a headphone jack. Other key specs include 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage, and a 3D facial recognition system that is similar to the iPhone X’s Face ID system.
