Like they promised, Xiaomi has officially launched their latest flagship, the Mi 4 in Beijing today. Much like the Mi 3, the Mi 4 sports beastly specs in a very attractive stainless steel frame. The company says that the frame of the device goes through 40 processes and 193 steps before they’re able to make it. The back covers can be swapped out, according to the company.
EDIT: It’s been brought to our attention that the Mi 4 is also IP67 rated, meaning it’s certified to resist water up to 1 meter for around 30 minutes. This just makes the device more desirable to our eyes (though our wallets will hate us lol) !

The Mi 4 is an obvious upgrade to the Mi 3. It sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.5GHz processor, 3GB LP-DDR3 RAM, 16/64GB eMMC 5.0, 5-inch 1080p Sharp / JDI OGS full lamination display, 13MP rear and 8MP front Sony stacked CMOS camera and a 3080 mAh Lithium-ion polymer battery.
It’s not hard to see that the Mi 4 borrows heavily from the design of Apple’s iPhone, which maky be good or bad depending on what your tastes are.
As far as the price goes, the Mi 4 has been tagged as toting an SRP of 1,999 Chinese Yuan for the 16GB model and 2,499 Chinese Yuan for the 64GB model. Since Xiaomi tries to keep the pricing of their smartphones the same for all territories (more or less), you’re looking at Php 13977 and Php 17473 respectively.
