We haven’t heard about the Redmi Pro for quite some time already
While there were leaks of the Redmi Pro 2 in the past, Xiaomi has been quiet about the Redmi Pro line. Debuting back in 2016, the Redmi Pro was Xiaomi’s first phone to sport a dual rear camera setup and a deca-core processor, and was positioned as the flagship phone of the Redmi line.
Recently, Xiaomi posted two teaser posters pertaining to the Redmi Pro 2 in Weibo. Not much is revealed in both teaser posters save for the upcoming model to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 processor. The new mid-range processor claims to natively support triple rear camera setups, and uses an 11nm architecture.
While we do not know about its other specs, there is speculation that this is the Xiaomi phone with a 48-megapixel rear camera, as teased by Xiaomi co-founder and President Lin Bin a few weeks ago.
Since there are teasers already, we expect the Redmi Pro 2 to launch sometime in January 2019.
