Another TV to salivate at

Chinese company Xiaomi is adding another model to their already burgeoning Android TV lineup – the Mi TV 2S. The new TV sports a Samsung-built 4K panel and Xiaomi’s own LED backlit module that allows the new 48-inch TV to sport a crazy 9.9mm overall thickness. If that’s not enough, Xiaomi claims that the TV is capable of displaying full, uncompressed YUV 4:4:4 color gamut at 4K and in 60 FPS – a feat that’s usually reserved for more professional displays.

Just like Xiaomi’s previous smart TVs, the Mi TV 2S runs a modified version of Android Lollipop, and sports a quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. Like other Xiaomi smart TVs, the Mi TV 2S will be priced at an almost ridiculously low price of just RMB 2999 or around 22K pesos in our currency. Just like other Xiaomi TVs, this product is unlikely to be offered locally but hey, one can dream, right?
