They will keep the price within the $1000 range
With Samsung and Huawei kicking off the foldable phone race, Xiaomi is expected to launch their own foldable phone soon. Initially a rumor, new reports reveal more about the upcoming device.
To be known as Mi Fold or Mi Flex, Xiaomi plans to undercut the competition by pricing its debut foldable device at $999—making it roughly half the price of Samsung’s Galaxy Fold. According to the report, one of the reasons why Xiaomi’s foldable phone is much more affordable is because it will be using an OLED panel made by Visionox Technology—a China-based manufacturer that specializes in OLED displays.
Like the Galaxy Fold and Mate X, the Mi Flex is a flagship device, so expect it to have a Snapdragon 855 processor and up to 10GB RAM. Xiaomi plans to launch the Mi Flex sometime between April and June, where it will launch initially in China.
