The iPhone 11 is the top-selling phone overall
While global smartphone sales are lackluster due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Xiaomi is one of the few brands that maintained its growth for Q1 2020. This can be credited to the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8T, as it is the best-selling Android smartphone according to Canalys.
Only to be outscored by Apple’s iPhone 11, the Redmi Note 8 offers great value for money as a budget mid-range device. In addition, the Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi 8A are also part of the top 10, placing 5th and 9th place respectively.
Aside from Xiaomi, Samsung did well with four of their phones being top-sellers. Leaking the pack for Samsung is the Galaxy A51, which placed third–an impressive feat considering the mid-range smartphone became official towards the end of 2019.
