(ORIGINAL STORY) Things are unusual for subscribers of ABS-CBN News and ABS-CBN News Channel’s (ANC) YouTube accounts, as both channels became unavailable or “terminated” on the morning of November 3. Rappler noticed this, as YouTube videos embedded on ABS-CBN News’ articles became unavailable, with a message saying “the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated.”

While there are speculations that both YouTube channels might have been hacked, ABS-CBN issued a statement saying that they are coordinating with YouTube to resolve the issue.

Prior to being terminated, ABS-CBN News has 10 million subscribers on YouTube. According to the video platform’s definition, a terminated account means that the user may not be able to “use, own, or create any other YouTube channels/accounts.”

Prior to this, the ABS-CBN News website went down on September 3 but explained that this was due to a “technical issue”.
