Adidas just announced their entry into the barefoot shoe category with the Adipure Trainer. This shoe aims to replicate the experience of doing exercise barefoot while maintaining the protection, traction, and durability provided by shoes. It’s definitely something that you can just make and I’m pretty sure a lot of research and technology went into the development of this product.
Prior to Adidas this category was dominated by Nike with their “Free” line followed by Vibram with their Five-Finger shoe.
The Adipure Trainer is scheduled to hit stores in the US this November for $90 USD (around Php3,800).No word yet on availability in the Philippines but this will probably arrive shortly after US launch because of the popularity of running here.
