Lazada Extends Php 100 Million in Seller Support for Filipino Entrepreneurs

Helping out sellers during the community quarantine

To aid Filipino entrepreneurs as they recover from the effects of community quarantine, Lazada extends Php 100 million under its Lazada Bounce Back Together program. Under the program, Lazada aims to assist over 10,000 sellers particularly those selling high-demand items such as fresh and frozen foods, and ready-to-eat snacks. To help new sellers, Lazada is offering Php 20,000 worth of incentives to prospective sellers, which should aid them in setting up their store in Lazada, adding new products, providing customer service, and live video selling training and support. Delivery fees will be discounted for these sellers to entice customers.

“Many businesses have been affected by the current situation, and we hope our platform can be a positive stepping stone to help business owners bounce back,” said Lazada Philippines CEO Ray Alimurung said. Those who want to join Lazada’s platform can sign up here.

Aside from assisting new sellers, Lazada will also provide assistance to its current sellers through adjusted delivery fees, order incentives, and waived payment fees. For both new and current sellers, Lazada will be hosting “Resilience Amid the Pandemic” education and learning sessions starting April 22.
