The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) recently launched the Du30 Mobile App during the National Information Convention (NIC) in Davao City. The main purpose of this new platform is to connect the government to Filipinos worldwide.
Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said that the “Du30 App is the Filipinos’ link for updates on government plans, activities and speeches of President Rodrigo Duterte via the RTVM, Radyo Pilipinas, and the PCOO’s Du30 on Duty.”
He also mentioned that out of the 105 million Filipinos, 62 million are active mobile users. That’s why PCOO made the initiative to create this mobile application developed by iBayad Online Ventures Inc.
It has the sentiment analysis and poll survey tool. It also allows users to comment and share, and use the quick call and caption this options. Direct and official social media feeds are also visible inside the app. It even enables the president to send personal messages to the people.
iBayad also developed an app called “Public Eye” so citizens can report and record incidents like crimes and road damage among other things.
Paolo Saycon, the COO of iBayad mentioned that the app has been reviewed by the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT). More security features to protect citizens will soon be added.
The Du30 Daily app is now available for download at Google Play and the Apple App Store.
