BPI Launches Their New, Revamped Mobile App

The old one will still be available for a time

The Bank Of The Philippine Islands has officially launched their brand-spanking new mobile app today. The new app is meant to be the companion of BPI’s new online banking portal that was released last April, sporting the same aesthetic and minimalist design that you see when you log into the desktop version.

BPI’s integrated additional security features in the app, including one time PINs as well as biometric log-ins. OTPs are sent via text message to confirm money transfers, bill payments and account changes to make sure it’s really you doing it, and biometric log-ins via fingerprints and facial recognition (if your phone supports it) make it easier to log into the app.

Right now the app is available in both iTunes and the Google Play Store, though BPI won’t be removing the old one just yet. You can start downloading it now here and here.
