Opera’s State of the Mobile Web Report for the Philippines

Opera Software recently presented their State of the Mobile Web Report for the Philippines and the results are pretty fascinating. According to the report, the top brand using their Opera Mini browser is Nokia! It looks like there are still a lot of Nokia users in the Philippines though we’re not sure if these are actually smartphones or the legacy feature phones. Another surprise is that a local brand, Cherry Mobile, is the top Android brand of Opera Mini users. After Cherry Mobile there’s Samsung, MyPhone (another local brand), and Lenovo.

Other than the devices, Opera also announced the top 20 most visited sites on their browser. The list is below but it basically shows that Pinoys are really into social media, online research, and song lyrics. 😮
