Dark Mode is Coming to Google Chrome Soon

The feature is currently being tested for the Android version of Google Chrome

One of Android Q’s main features is a system-wide dark mode, and developers are working on adding this battery-saving feature to their apps. Facebook is currently developing the feature for their mobile app, while Twitter’s mobile and desktop app have native Dark mode already.

Recently, 9to5Google got their hands on the latest Chrome 73 Beta, and Dark mode is one of its new features. Currently in development, Dark mode works only with pop-up menus for the meantime. It uses the same shade of gray used when in Incognito mode, while the text is in white.

There’s no word yet as to when Google will be implementing Dark mode for the next stable Chrome release. The latest stable release right now is Chrome 72, so it might take a while before a polished and stable Dark mode will make it to the stable release of Google Chrome.
