We have been bombarded with immersive, 360-degree videos ever since Facebook started supporting this new platform for friends, family, and brands to give us a new take on sharing content. Surprising though, is the lack of support for 360-degree photos or a better way to enjoy panoramic photographs. Well, that’s about to change.

Facebook recently announced that they are going to fill that gap; allowing us to upload 360 photos and panoramic photos straight from our phones or 360 camera with the ability to preview the image in an immersive way. It will be so much better than uploading a flat, panoramic photo with details too minuscule to enjoy. Thank goodness!

This new feature will be available via the desktop site and the latest version of the Facebook app, both on Android and iOS. It might be a hot minute till we see this roll out, but we’re pretty sure you’ll notice the influx of awesome 360-degree photos and panoramic shots on your wall when it’s fully up and running.
