Google Makes Android P Beta Available On 11 Phones

You previously had to have a Nexus device to enjoy it

Google’s next iteration of their Android operating system, code named Android P, will be made available to a wider gamut of phones today. This was announced earlier today during the company’s I/O developer conference in their HQ, and the update is available to be downloaded on a wider array of devices from last year’s beta.

Specifically, you’ll be able to download the beta on Essential Phone, Oppo’s R15 Pro, Nokia’s 7 Plus, Sony’s Xperia XZ2, Xiaomi’s Mi Mix 2S, Vivo’s X21, OnePlus’ upcoming flagship and Google’s own Pixel and Pixel 2 devices.

There’s plenty of new features in Android P which we’ll tackle in a seperate post, suffice to say you’ll be able to enjoy time limits on apps so you spend less time looking at your phone, hide notifications during certain times of the day (or when you’re on vacation) as well as new updates to Android’s navigation keys.

You can download the beta from here.
