Google’s new photos apps make organizing and sharing photos, fast, simple and free
Google has announced their new Photos app during the company’s I/O developer conference today. What differentiates Google’s service is that it intelligently backs up and organizes your images without needing user intervention. You can view photos and videos by year, for example. The new app also organizes your photos via their face, and is apparently smart enough to detect changes to a person’s face (a baby growing up for example, will be tagged correctly even as her face changes), and using Google’s machine language, by location and by keywords.
The biggest draw for Google’s Photo service is that they are offering the service for free, with unlimited photo and video uploads. Not only is Google offering free, unlimited use, Google’s also allowing photo uploads of up to 16 megapixels in size and videos up to full HD resolution.
Google Photos is avaialable to download today, for Android, iOS and the Web.
