Grab Rolls Out GrabMart For Effortless Online Grocery Shopping

It’ll be available in Quezon City, Manila, and San Juan for now

Grab has been working hard to create solutions for their customers and riders during the enhanced community quarantine implemented by the Philippine government to arrest the spread of COVID-19. Aside from enhanced sanitation protocols for their Grab Food riders, the company is now rolling out GrabMart, allowing users to shop for groceries from home.

The idea is simple – you browse through the catalog of groceries, add them to your cart and check out when you’re ready. We don’t have the complete matrix for delivery fees as of writing, but from our experimental order, we were charged Php 120 along with a Php 30 additional charge for small orders (below Php 1000) when we ordered from Quezon City bordering Manila.

GrabMart’s premise is similar to HonestBee, which unfortunately stopped operations last year. Right now the service will only be available to customers in Quezon City, Manila and San Juan for now, though we’re sure Grab will be expanding coverage as they get more partner stores online.
