Now you can book a Grab with your furry friend
If you are the type of person who travels around the metro with your furry best friend, Grab has some good news: the ride-hailing app silently launched its GrabPet service.
The new service is a special feature for 6-seater drivers and aims for users to travel comfortably with their pets in compliance with Memorandum circular 2019-019.
The service allows for 1 large pet or two small pets and is limited to the following: cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, turtles. Additional insurance coverage will be given to pets availing of GrabPet.
Drivers that will offer GrabPet will be provided with special equipment for transporting pets. These include a waterproof cargo liner, large pet kennel, microfiber towel, air freshener, and a pet barrier. In addition, drivers will have to undergo a mandatory training session on handling pets by pet trainers—this will be partially subsidized by Grab.
The service is being rolled out to the app as of this writing, so you will have to wait before you can avail of the service.
