LA Lakers Donates $150,000 USD for Yolanda Relief, Walang Iwanan Talaga!

Thank you Kobe and LA Lakers!
Thank you Kobe and LA Lakers!

Thanks LA Lakers and the rest of the NBA!

Kobe Bryant stepped into the court in his warmers the other day not to play ball but to hand over a check worth $150,000 to the Philippine Red Cross. The check is the donation of the LA Lakers to the relief operations here in the Philippines for the victims of super typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). The gesture gives a whole new meaning to Kobe Bryant’s catch phrase and tagline for his endorsement of Lenovo Mobile here in the Philippines — “Walang iwanan”. To those who can’t understand Tagalog, it means “No one gets left behind”.

Thanks Kobe, LA Lakers, and everyone from the NBA! Cheers!
