Microsoft to End Support for Internet Explorer 11 in 2021

Ever since Microsoft has shifted to a Chromium-based version of Edge, it has largely ignored Internet Explorer for quite some time. And after 25 years, Microsoft officially announced that it is the end of the line for the legacy web browser by August 17, 2021. In its post, Microsoft’s online services like Office 365, OneDrive, Outlook, will no longer be supported by  Internet Explorer 11. As for Microsoft Teams, its support for Internet Explorer 11 will end by November 30.

For those few users who still depend on Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft has a legacy mode feature with the Chromium-based Edge web browser. Speaking of Edge, Microsoft will end support for the legacy version of Edge by March 9, 2021.
