NetFlix Increasing Prices On Its Higher-tier Plans

There’ll be no change to the most affordable option though

Starting today Netflix and chill got a little bit more expensive: the streaming service has hiked up the price of two of its most popular plans in the US for the first time in two years. Netflix has added a dollar to the $10 HD and viewing on two screens plan, putting the price at $11 (Php 562) while they’re adding two bucks to the premium plan that allows you to view content in 4K and on four screens simultanously will now be $14 (Php 715), up from $12.

The new pricing is currently applicable for US customers right now, as there’s currently no change at all to PH pricing. If you’re in the US and are just now signing up for the service you’ll have to pay the new prices right away. Existing customers will experience the new pricing starting October 19th depending on their billing cycles.

Netflix’s adjusted pricing for their plans isn’t uprising considering the company is aggressively expanding their own original content as more and more studios (like Disney) are pulling their content from streaming services to put up their own.
