Niantic Addresses Pokemon Go Cheats and Bans

Unbox 74 - Niantic Bans Cheats
Here’s some fresh Pokemon Go news from Niantic, the game’s developers. Posted on their official site, the note outlines the company’s steps to make the playing field a more fair and fun experience for all Pokemon Go trainers.

Here’s what’s written on their update post:

After reviewing many reports of in-game cheating, we have started taking action against players taking unfair advantage of and abusing Pokémon GO. Moving forward, we will continue to terminate accounts that show clear signs of cheating.

Our main priority with Pokémon GO is to provide a fair, fun, and legitimate game experience for all players. If our system has determined that you cheated, then you will receive an email stating that your account has been terminated.

If you do believe your account has been terminated incorrectly, you should report it to the Pokémon GO Help Center:

So yeah, just keep reporting those crazy Dragonites, Arcanines and Alakazams, trainers! Every little bit counts!

  1. So instead of fixing the abhorrent bugs and crashes (literally walang makikitang Pokémon at Pokestops at some point kung ikaw ay nag Pokémon GO sa LTE, kailangan mo pang mag wi-fi, force close, clear data, reboot para lang umayos;) the complete absence of Pokestops and ANY Pokémon in the provinces, hit and miss server performance, and the still disastrous “tracking” system, Niantic has been busy banning people who used (and this is true, check Reddit boards) GO Messenger, RazerGO, PokeExtender, PokeMesh, and Google Maps apps.
