Payments Made Easier: SSS Launches Online Payments with PayMaya

Added convenience for all SSS members

As part of its efforts of modernizing its services SSS officially launches its online payment services with Fintech app PayMaya. Through the SSS app, members can pay their contributions by using their PayMaya account or any Visa, Mastercard, or JCB credit/debit/prepaid cards.

PayMaya is one of the 85 accredited SSS collecting and paying partners, with 35 of these partners compliant with SSS’ Real-Time Processing of Contributions.

For its future upgrades, SSS will accept employer’s contributions and salary loan payments through PayMaya.

“This is one of our options to eliminate long queues in automated teller services in branches and other accredited partner agencies,” SSS President and CEO Aurora Ignacio said.

Contribution payments are made via the SSS app through generated Personal Reference Numbers (PRN). Those paying via PayMaya will need to log-in with their PayMaya account and enter the OTP to proceed with the payment. Those paying via card will need to input the following: First Name, Last Name, Card Number, CVV, and Expiry Date.

There’s a Php 10 service charge if you pay via PayMaya, and a 1.75% service fee if you pay via credit/debit/prepaid card.

“This is only the beginning of our continuous effort to provide quality and convenient services to our members. Hopefully, we can soon use PayMaya for loan repayments and payments from employers not only in the SSS Mobile App but also even on the SSS website,” Ignacio said.
