The Pokemon Go juggernaut is steadily losing steam, based on multiple data tracking reports from industry analysts. From a peak of almost 45 million daily active users (DAU) in July, Pokemon Go‘s concurrent users in August now sit at around the 30 million mark.

Bloomberg released the report from industry analyst Axiom Capital Management, who gathered data from Sensor Tower, SurveyMonkey, and Apptopia. Pokemon Go‘s daily active users, downloads, engagement and daily time spent are noticeably on a declining trend.

Niantic has been actively updating the game as of late, stomping cheaters and botters through several security patches. Still, GPS spoofers and glitches abound in the playing field.

Pokemon Go is set to be updated with Version 0.35.0 for Android and 1.5.0 for iOS soon. Here’s a sneak peak of the patch notes from Niantic’s official Facebook page:

  • Implemented Pokémon Appraisal: Trainers will now be able to learn about a Pokémon’s attack and defense capabilities from their Team Leader (Candela, Blanche or Spark) to determine which of their Pokémon have the most potential for battle.
  • We are still working hard on several new and exciting features to come in the future of Pokémon GO.
  • Minor bot fixes.
