If you are a big fan of Pokemon and could not think of a different way of playing it, The Pokemon Company thought of creating a MOBA game with Pokemon UNITE. You read that right: a MOBA game like Mobile Legends, but with Pokemon as the characters.
Announced during the June 24 episode of Pokemon Presents, Pokemon UNITE follows the same 5v5 format used in popular MOBA games. Making it different is its map layout and objective. The main goal of the game is to score more points than your opponent by the end of the game to win. This is done by capturing Pokemon within the map and putting them in goals—where there are five goals per side.
Like any typical Pokemon game, each player controls a Pokemon of their choice, teach them new abilities, and even evolve them as the game progresses.
Pokemon UNITE is made in partnership with Tencent—best known for PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile—and will be available on the Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS as a free-to-start game. There’s no official date yet as of this writing.
