The mobile version of LoL is almost here
It’s taken Riot Games a long time to enter the mobile MOBA market, but the mobile adaptation of their hit League Of Legends, dubbed League Of Legends: Wild Rift, is almost here.
The game’s alpha kicks off next month, and users will have a chance to kick the tires and try the game out before it goes live for everyone sometime later this year.
To clarify, pre-registration won’t mean that you’re already guaranteed to be chosen to play in the alpha, since Riot is likely still building up server capacity to support a large number of players on launch.
Riot Games is also trying hard to optimize the game to work on a large swath of Android devices, and currently, the system requirements for the game requires a phone to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor or higher, around 1.5GB of RAM and at least an Adreno 306 GPU. These requirements aren’t final as Riot will still be tweaking the game to run on as many phones as possible – your old clunker might still have a chance of running this game in the future.
You can head on over here to pre-register. iOS users sadly will have to wait for a bit longer.
