PSA: Be Wary of Suspicious URLs

Most of them link you to phishing sites

Cybersecurity is oftentimes a hot topic in the digital world these days. With the number of people being victimized with online scams and having their personal information compromised by phishing, it is very, very important to be vigilant with the websites you visit.

The latest to be hit with phishing sites is digital payment platform PayMaya. Recently, we received a text informing us of a suspicious URL that has no association with PayMaya.

While some of us may ignore such advisories, it is important to take note of these messages to avoid being victimized by phishing.

In the case of PayMaya (and any other digital payment provider), always remember this: they will NEVER ask for your password, OTP, or card details on a site that is NOT encrypted.
