Red Alert Mobile Game Reportedly in the Works

To be made by the same company behind PUBG Mobile

For those who have been playing games in the late 90s to early 2000s, Command and Conquer’s Red Alert franchise ranks among one of the most well-loved games. It is well-loved, as it let players create their base with the best possible weapon and units while conquering the bases of their rivals.

While the last Red Alert game was in 2009 with the iOS-only Command and Conquer: Red Alert, it seems that the storied Command and Conquer franchise is making a comeback. Tencent games—the same company behind the popular PUBG mobile game—is working on reviving the Red Alert franchise with Red Alert Mobile:

In the teaser trailer above, classic Red Alert elements are to be found: From the powerful Tesla coils, heavy-duty tanks, to the deadly atomic bombs. Iconic elements like the Kirov Airship and the character Yuri—who famously appeared in Red Alert 2—also appear in the video as well.

What’s intriguing with this upcoming Red Alert revival is that there is no mention of Electronic Arts or Command and Conquer throughout the whole video. Tencent has not yet commented on this as of press time, though the Chinese company has worked with EA in the past for China versions of FIFA Online and The Sims Social.

Just like PUBG Mobile, Red Alert Mobile will be available for both Android and iOS.
