Samsung Showcases its 2017 Home Entertainment Lineup

QLED TVs utilizing quantum dot technology are front and center in Samsung’s 2017 Home Entertainment product line.

Samsung announced on Tuesday the availability of their premium, flagship QLED TVs, a new lifestyle TV dubbed “The Frame”, as well as other AV peripherals such as a new soundbar and a Blu-ray player.

“Our 2017 lineup is ushering in a new era for television. This year, we are taking smart features, craftsmanship, and creativity to new heights—all while delivering a premium experience and solving everyday consumer pain points in the process,” said Dave Das, SVP Consumer Electronics Marketing for Samsung Electronics America.

“With QLED TV, Samsung’s advances in Quantum dot technology provide our best picture quality ever – all while truly enhancing the way you live. The Frame empowers you to think about TV in a new way, bringing art and entertainment into new parts of your home. This is how television transforms—and becomes an essential part of your lifestyle,” he added.

Q Picture: Perfect combination of light and color

Samsung’s new QLED TVs take advantage of advanced quantum dot technology to improve light efficiency, stability and color spectrum in their displays. Picture quality, viewing angle, color volume, brightness, and contrast are also addressed and refined through the new metal quantum dot tech, resulting in a consistent, high-end viewing experience.

Q Smart: Elevating the home entertainment experience

Samsung has upgraded their Smart Hub feature to be more intuitive and user-friendly. The expanded Samsung One Remote Control now has support for more devices, as well as voice control options across Smart TV features.

As for aesthetics and setup, Samsung debuted their new, unifying “Invisible Connection” cable to manage unsightly, cluttered wires and cords. Samsung’s “No Gap” Wall Mount brings the TV flush to the wall, making the display look like an interactive picture frame. Both additions will ensure the harmonious integration of Samsung’s QLED TVs to your home’s interior styling.

Sound+ Soundbar and UBD-M9500 UHD Blu-ray

The Samsung Sound+ Soundbar comes in a unibody design that includes the speakers and the subwoofer. With its new Anti-Distortion Technology, the Sound+ can achieve a rich, deep bass as low as 35 Hz. It also features expansive 5-channel sound.

Samsung’s new UHD Blu-ray player builds on the success of last year’s UBD-K8500 player, featuring enhanced performance and HDR capability. New in the UBD-M9500 is the functionality for playback of two sources at the same time.
