Superman Hybrid Metal Figuration by Hero Cross

Superman!

It’s the Man of Steel!

Since we were very satisfied and happy with the quality of Stormtrooper, our first collectible from Hero Cross’ Hybrid Metal Figuration series, we decided to invest a little more and we bought the new Superman figure from the same line. We actually got this figure during our recent trip to Singapore but we’ve already seen it available locally since last week. Selling price here in Manila is around Php3,500-Php4,000. We got it in Singapore for around the same price.

As a quick refresher, Hero Cross is a manufacturer of toys and collectibles and they’re based in Hong Kong. Their Hybrid Metal Figuration series is one of their most successful lines mostly because collectors ended up loving the quality of their products. Figures from the HMF series are 70% alloy and 30% PVC. The metal materials give the figs much more heft and makes them feel more solid and premium as opposed to the purely plastic collectibles.

Features the same wide base and big head as other HMF figures.

The Superman figure follows the same wide base and big head style from the HMF series. It’s almost “cartoony” but they still definitely look kick ass, hehe. Posing Superman is also fun and easy thanks to the multiple points of articulation. The cape is also made from some sort of cloth so you can also play around with it for photos. The figure comes with two extra hands (open palms) and the usual black base/stand.

If you wanna make him look much more kick ass, put in the three batteries at the back of his head (you can remove the hair) and turn on the switch for the LED lights. Supes’ eyes light up similar to how his heat vision works! Awesooooommmmmmmeeeeee.

Heat vision! You wanna mess with me punk?!

Oh and as a teaser to the next figure from HMF that we’re going to feature here on Unbox, check this photo out:

Boom!

Booyah. Supes and Bats!

The Superman collectible figure from the HMF series is available in a few toy shops in Greenhills like Play Giant and GreatToysOnline. Sells for anywhere from Php3,500-Php4,000. Watch out for our feature of Batman from the same series soon!

Up, up, and away! Babay!
