Taken 2 brings back Liam Neeson as Bryan Mills
One of my all-time favorite movies in 2009 was Taken. The movie starred Liam Neeson as a retired CIA Agent who goes on a rampage in France when his daughter gets kidnapped. It was a hoot seeing Neeson methodically and strategically take down an entire syndicate just to rescue his daughter. From what I’ve read, the movie made Fox good money and that’s why they’re coming out with a sequel.
There are no posters yet, much less any trailers. All we have right now is the announcement that Taken 2 is indeed in the making and we have the basic plot. Read the basic synopsis below.
Liam Neeson returns as Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent with a particular set of skills who stopped at nothing to save his daughter Kim from Albanian kidnappers. When the father of one of the kidnappers swears revenge, and takes Bryan and his wife hostage during their family vacation in Istanbul, Bryan enlists Kim to help them escape, and uses the same advanced level of special forces tactics to get his family to safety and systematically take out the kidnappers one by one.
Taken 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on October 5, 2012. I’ll update this post as more information comes along.
