The partnership aims to help DoT’s tourism campaign
To strengthen further their “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” campaign, the Department of Tourism partnered with social media platform TikTok to encourage TikTok users to create short videos promoting various tourist spots around the Philippines.
Tourism Assistant Secretary Howard Lance Uyking explained that part of their partnership with DoT includes holding a video challenge to TikTok users, where they will be be given a set of guidelines for creating content. The TikTok Challenge will be announced by first quarter of 2020.
Uyking adds that he looks forward to the campaign as it will help bolster their “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” campaign with organic, user-generated content promoting various tourist spots in the Philippines.
