Uber Intros Family Profile, Lets You Pay For Up To 10 People

Parents worrying about their kids getting home from school or from work needn’t worry too much if they’ve been relying on Uber. The ride-sharing app has just announced the availability of the Family Profile feature that allows them to pay for the rides of up to ten of their family members, friends and colleagues. Setting it up is rather easy, and the person that pays for the family account gets all of the receipts.

The idea is to use one account to pay for the rides of multiple people. Obviously, the new feature isn’t just limited to paying for the rides of your kids, grandkids or nephews – it’s also a great way for managers to pay for the rides of their subordinates if they’re attending official company business, instead of making them pay it and reimbursing later.

To take advantage of the new feature, you’ll need to make sure you’re using the latest version of the Uber app.
